Admitting to a friend or family member that you’re not ok is difficult for many of us. Feeling anything opposed to the daily “norm” of ok to some of us is a shameful feeling. In certain communities, families, and cultures speaking on your feelings is a very rare occasion. Many of us are taught to be tough, always show your best self.
